Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow in Maternal and Perinatal Health
Applications are invited for the position of Research Fellow/Senior Research Fellow at the International Perinatal Care Unit to develop a personal research programme with a safer motherhood or perinatal care theme and to contribute to postgraduate teaching activities.
It is essential for the post holder to have a Masters degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. public health, health services research, social science), knowledge of safer motherhood and perinatal care issues and competence in basic epidemiology and statistics. It is highly desirable for the post holder to have experience in midwifery or perinatal care or management of reproductive health programmes, knowledge of participatory action research, experience of policy advocacy in womens or child health issues, relevant developing country experience and a publications record. The post requires excellent facilitation skills, personal maturity, sensitivity to gender and cultural issues and the ability to relate to people at all levels.
Salary Range: Grade 1A or II £20,470 £ £32,537 plus £2,134 London weighting. Applications are also welcomed from clinically qualified candidates and will be appropriately remunerated.
