10. Proforma for
Discussion Items
Guidance to
completing the form overleaf:
n
Statements need to be checked as being in harmony with
both other Position / Policy Statements already adopted and the Confederation’s
Global Strategy as adopted May 1996, and confirmed in May 1999.
n
Statements must be checked as having a global nature;
if reflective only of a regional or local issue the possible use of that
statement is decreased.
n
Statements must be checked as having the ability to be
implemented and sustained by the ICM and its Membership
n
Statements must take into consideration any
infrastructure requirements, particularly financial and personnel.
n
Statements are recommended, where appropriate, to
contain expected outcomes to mother/baby and must take into consideration the
anticipated impact.
n
Statements should indicate the means of evaluating
expected outcomes and the ability to monitor the impact.
n
It is recommended that Statements be presented in
English, with French and/or Spanish translation included where this is
possible.
